In general, the work consists of replacing the existing central water softeners at Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center facility with properly sized resin tanks that have progressive regeneration. The central domestic water heaters and associated hot water supply and return piping throughout the facility will also be replaced. Base bids will be received as a single lump sum bid for plumbing, mechanical (heating, ventilating, air conditioning), and electrical work. All potential bidders must be certified by the Department of Administration prior to submitting bids for state construction projects over $100,000. Sealed bids must be delivered or submitted electronically by the specified time, and include all required documents and a bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid. General contractor bids must include the successful MEP bids, or they will be rejected. Bidding documents are available electronically. The bidder is responsible for timely delivery or submission of their bid.
