Major components of the Work include construction of a 2,000 gpm (2.9 MGD) Water Treatment Plant, including aeration, detention tank, filtration, clearwell, backwash tank, pumping facility, ancillary facilities, access road, raw and finished water piping, sanitary sewer extension, site work, stormwater ponding, and a SCADA system. Alternate work will include construction of a cold storage building and associated utility extensions and site work. Bids will ONLY be received electronically. Contractors submitting an electronic bid will be charged an additional $42 at the time of bid submission via the online electronic bid service QuestCDN.com. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. Minimum General Contractor Qualifications: The Bidder shall have experience as a General Contractor in the successful completion of at least two (2) municipal water treatment plants within the last five (5) years. Minimum treatment capacity of each plant shall be 500 gpm and include experience in new building construction; gravity or pressure filtration; chemical feed systems; process piping and valves; pumps; electrical and HVAC systems; SCADA instrumentation and control; earthwork; buried utilities; coatings application; and cast-in-place concrete tanks. Wastewater projects with similar components may be used for references and experience. Bidder shall list experience on the Project References form and submit with their Bid. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid.
