Site work and renovation of a civil project in Elkin, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority has received aresponse from the Division of Water Infrastructure and State Water Infrastructure Authority to provide funding for the Pump Stations Resiliency Project. The Authority is seeking professional engineering services for design, permit approval, bidding, construction observation and contract administration through the final certification of the project. The purpose of the project is to increase resilience at three pump stations to ensure continued operation duringand after future floods. The project consist of eliminating apump station andextending 2,600 LF of 12 gravity sewer to an existing outfall,replacing 1,900 LF of 18 unrestrained PVC force main with 18 restrained joint ductile iron pipe (RJDIP), raise pump station components to 2 above 500-yearflood elevation. The Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority reserves the right to accept afirm that is most advantageous to the Authority. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
