Professional design services for the demolition of the existing pool and design/planning of a new municipal swimming pool, including aquatic area, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and site utilities. Nanty Glo Borough owns and operates an existing municipal swimming pool located at 842 Lincoln Avenue, Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania. The Borough is applying for a grant to design and replace the existing facilities. If the grant is obtained, the design is expected to begin approximately in July of 2027. Part of the scope of services includes a preliminary estimate to replace the pools to be included in the grant application. The existing facility consists of two swimming pools, a large approximate 207,000 gallon pool and a kiddie pool, pump house, and pool house. The replacement of the pool house is not included in this proposal . Due to the age, condition, functionality, and/or operational limitations of the existing facility, the Borough is considering complete demolition and reconstruction. The proposed project is anticipated to include demolition of the existing swimming pools and related improvements and construction of a new municipal swimming pool. The Borough seeks a design that provides long-term value, efficient operation, appropriate capacity, user safety, accessibility, and an attractive community-oriented facility. Respondents are encouraged to identify innovative approaches that can improve the project's functionality, reduce lifecycle costs, enhance the user experience, and maximize the value of the Borough's investment.
