Furnish and install a new automatic irrigation system at West Kearns Elementary School according to the project manual, specifications, and drawings. Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for selective demolition of existing irrigation components including removal of existing irrigation heads/quick couplers, capping of existing laterals and mains to be abandoned in place; Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for maintenance of irrigation services, or provision of temporary services, to existing landscaping and plantings during construction of new system ; Furnish all labor, materials , and equipment to install new automatic irrigation system; Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to install new components for irrigation control system; Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to install new irrigation pump; Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to install new electrical service for irrigation pump and controls; Provide system programming, commissioning, and training; Restoration of existing site improvements damaged during construction; Disposal off-site of all demolition and construction waste and debris; Provide As-Built/Record Drawings, O&M Manuals and Warranty as required in the Construction Documents; Warrant all items for one (1 ) year, or more if required by Specifications , following the date of Substantial Completion. Irrigation System at West Kearns Elementary This work shall be completed in two phases. Contractor's bid shall include the work for both phase 1 and phase 2 for the irrigation system as indicated in the bid documents. Phase 1 shall be a complete turnkey system including irrigation mainlines, laterals, heads, controls, and power to provide a fully functional automatic system. Phase 2 will include all work to complete the installation of the irrigation system for the balance of the site, and any modifications required to the phase 1 installation to integrate both phases. Contractor shall include cost to remobilize to the site as part of the phase 2 installation . Phase 2 will be completed after award of the contract for construction of the new elementary school . This contractor will be assigned as a subcontractor to the successful General Contractor to complete and coordinate the phase 2 work. The existing irrigation system will be abandoned in place. All existing heads shall be removed and disposed of off-site. The irrigation mains and laterals shall remain in place. Contractor shall modify existing mains and laterals to allow installation of the new irrigation system without new system installation above or below existing. The timing of the installation of phase 1 should permit the existing system to be cut at any crossover points and left without reconnection to maintain existing plantings. Any areas requiring use of the existing system after phase 1 is complete shall be coordinated with GSD Grounds department.
