The project includes constructing a new 6' paved walkway and new bike route along 14th Street from the Kenduskeag Stream Parking Lot to Ohio Street, in Bangor, Maine, and will include some curb replacement, new catch basins and other incidental work. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid price will be required in the form of cash, a certified check or bid bond. All work shall be governed by State of Maine Department of Transportation, "Standard Specification," revision of March 2020, and "Standard Details," revision of March 2020. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids or to waive informalities or defects in bids if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Bangor. Basis of award of the Contract is determined by the lowest qualified bidder. The lowest bidder must have successfully completed a Highway or project-specific prequalification for Bangor to be considered for the award of this contract.
