The City of Bangor requests bids for demolition of a barn located at the Parks and Recreation Center, 647 Main Street, Bangor. Addendum Date/Time: 8/29/2025 Any questions must be directed in writing to bids@bangormaine.gov The project is to demolish and dispose of the barn located at Parks and Recreation 647 Main Street, Bangor. Additionally, the project will include capping existing water and sewer lines as well as finish grading and planting of grass seed on the vacant site. A. The work shall include the removal and proper offsite disposal of all building components including foundation walls, basement floor and footings. B. Contents not to be kept by the City shall be disposed with the demolition debris. C. The Contractor shall take appropriate measures to ensure adequate dust and debris control throughout the entire project. D. The work shall include the supply and installation of clean and appropriate fill in the hole created by the removal of the foundation and basement floor. Fill shall be installed to the level of surrounding grade and shall be graded smooth for a good finished appearance. E. The work shall include the supply and installation of grass seed over all backfilled areas. The work shall also include the supply and installation of hay spread over backfilled areas. F. Demolition and backfill work shall only be performed on week days.
