**As of July 24,2025, the project was awarded to but the awarded amount is not available.** The Recreation Department is seeking proposals for new fencing to surround the new playground project to be installed at the J. Richard Martin Community Center at 189 Alfred Street. Purchase and installation of new fencing is in the main bid; an alternate bid is added to include removal and disposal of existing fencing. Project shall include: o Approximately 440 feet of 6' black chain link fence with plastic privacy slats facing Alfred Street from Clark Street to Myrtle Street. o Approximately 180 feet total of 4' black chain link fence on Myrtle and Clark streets. No privacy slats. o A minimum 6' locking gate for access on Alfred St. o All black link chain using 40 weight pipe and 8-gauge chain link. o Pipe to be cemented. o Existing fencing will be removed by the city or other vendor prior to new fencing installation. The City reserves the right to accept or reject proposals, completely or in part, and to negotiate separately as necessary in order to serve the best interests of the City. Anticipated project completion date August 29, 2025 The City desires to enter into a design/construction contract with the successful vendor with all work to be completed by August 29, 2025. A performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the price specified in the proposal. A payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the price specified in the proposal.
