Project Description: Provide all labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, controls, supervision, and incidental work required to make repairs to the Daikin VRV system as a whole in building 291. All work performed by the contractor shall be in accordance with the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), all local, State and Federal codes, and all manufacturer’s instructions. Work area shall be cleaned and swept or vacuumed at the end of each day, and all materials and equipment shall be stored in an orderly fashion at the end of each workday. The office space will be occupied during repairs. Coordination with construction manager, building occupants, and 980 rep will be required with a (3) week look ahead to coordinate work times and escorts. Contractor must warranty workmanship for 1 year. Contractor must coordinate work schedule with PNSY personnel and occupants of the space. Contractor shall be responsible for final installation per manufacturer standards and precise field measurements. Contractor to provide submittals and specs for all materials proposed with bid proposal. Work to be executed by a Daikin certified mechanical contractor. Repairs to this system are necessary due to poor installation and electrical concerns. The set of (3) compressors in the units have just been replaced for a third time in its 9 year lifespan. These issues will be corrected in this project through various repairs including power protection components and piping corrections. For informational purposes a sample of refrigerant and oil shall be tested for acidity. The refrigeration system shall be reclaimed, evacuated, and refilled.
