The intent and purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish price agreements for the seasonal mowing and maintenance of 24 cemeteries in the Town of Kittery. The Contractor's scope of work includes the following work elements to be completed biweekly starting May 5, 2025 through October 31, 2025: Spring and Fall clean-up, including raking and removal of leaves, tree branches, lawn debris and trash Bi-weekly maintenance of each cemetery, including mowing grass, string line trimming entire facility, grave sites and headstones, and removal of any leaves, tree branches, lawn debris and/or trash The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, and equipment necessary for work to be completed. Bids shall consist of Two (2) copies of the following: a. Signed General Bid Form b. Names and contact information of two (2) entities for which the Contractor has successfully supplied similar services. The Contractor must acknowledge receipt of addenda in the bid submission. The Contractor shall be responsible to check for addenda. Addendums will be announced and made available online or by contacting Haley Mock at the Town of Kittery at (207) 475-1311 or hmock@kitteryme.org. Question Deadline 02/18/2025 Unless otherwise specified, questions pertaining to general information regarding the IFB and/or the scope of services shall be addressed in writing. No questions will be answered in-person or via telephone. Questions shall be written and emailed to the following: David Rich, Commissioner of Public Works Town of Kittery 200 Rogers Road Kittery, ME 03904 drich@kitteryme.org The Town reserves the right to cancel the IFB and/or reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informalities if deemed in the best interest of the Town to do so. The Town is the sole judge of its best interest. The Town reserves the right to cancel and terminate the contract in the event that the services provided by the Contractor prove to be unsatisfactory. The Town shall be the sole judge of satisfactory performance consistent with the scope of work and requirements contained herein. Award of this contract shall be made to the most advantageous Contractor with an acceptable price within ten (10) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the submission deadline. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids if deemed in the best interest of the Town. The Town may invite a short list of Contractors for an interview.
