LCIP26 - The design and permitting of this project will extend the Sunnyside/Riverside trail for a half mile from Sunnyside Park at Whipple Street southerly along the Androscoggin River to West Bates Street. - Currently, on road sidewalks complete this section of the Greenway Trail so this rel.ocation will create a more seamless and pleasing extension of the current paved trail joining these two trails into one. - The project scope will include a 10 foot paved trail, benches, dog stations, signage, and some off-street parking LCIP27 - Construction of the trail extension and related amenities As of March 3, 2025, this project is included in the City of Lewiston's Fiscal Year 2026-2030 CIP. Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established. Funding is allotted for FY 2027 and 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
