Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Brockton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a 35,000-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility.

As of November 10, 2020, project has been under construction since sometime February to March of 2020, and will be completed in July of 2021. All sub opportunities have been let and awarded. New Facility, Division of Unemployment Assistance, 226 Main St, Brockton, MA. Request for Qualifications for Construction Management Services. Category of Work is General Building Construction. Project delivery method for construction will be CM-at-Risk. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Estimated Cost $17,800,000 The project involves demolition of a condemned existing 3-story building and construction of a new 35,000 SF 3-story (plus partial basement) office building. Building will include call center, offices, conference rooms, kitchenettes, storage. Project structure and some floor plates are proposed to include cross laminated timber construction. Project site is on an extremely tight urban parcel. Demolition and construction will be immediately adjacent to two existing buildings and a park area. Firms interesting in providing Public Construction Management at Risk Services (CM) or (CM-at-Risk) for New Facility, Division of Unemployment Assistance, Brockton, MA, are invited to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM). This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in MGL Ch.149A. DCAMM is prequalifying firms interested in providing CM-at-Risk Services for this project through this RFQ process. Firms interested in being prequalified: 1) must demonstrate that they have prior experience as a Construction Manager or a General Contractor on at least three completed construction projects of a similar cost, complexity, type, and size as this project as it is described further below. Additional requirements may be found in the RFQ.It is intended that the construction be completed and that the building be fully functional and occupied by fall 2021. Shortlist Confirmed.
