As of January 22, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The proposed construction will include Removing and Replacing the Bridge, Road Work, Levee Work, Trail Work and Other Related Work. Each bidder shall accompany his sealed bid with the proper bid security made payable to the Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission as follows: Any person, firm or corporation who submits a proposal and has a principal place of business in the State of Indiana MUST submit a BOND in the amount of ten percent (10%) of their total bid. Any person, firm or corporation who submits a bid and DOES NOT have a principal place of business in the State of Indiana MUST file with their bid a CERTIFIED CHECK, BANK DRAFT, CASHIER'S CHECK OR MONEY ORDER issued by a financial institution insured by an agency of the United States in the amount of ten percent (10%) of their total bid, made payable to the Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission. Bids may be held by the Commission for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price within ten (10) days after award of contract and a two (2) year Maintenance Bond in the amount of thirty percent (30%) of the contract price prior to completion and final payment of the contract. No Contractor may withdraw his proposal within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or irregularities therein, to delete any bid item or items and to award a contract on the proposal that in their judgement is most advantageous to the Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission.
