Bids are requested for the construction of the Tukwila School District Tukwila Elementary School Renovations and Modular Additions Project. The Project consists of site improvements, utility modifications, expansion of the parking, ROW improvements, playground improvements, exterior building maintenance and repair, minor interior modifications, replacement of floor finishes, mechanical HVAC replacement, new DDC controls, fire alarm upgrades/ extension, fire sprinkler work and a two classroom modular addition consisting of foundation, new enclosed courtyard with covered walk way. The modular classroom building will be provided by others. Project, will be phased to accommodate Owner occupancy of the building and site during partial construction during school year. Bidders and others properly interested are invited to be present at the Bid Opening. Bids received after the time fixed for receipt cannot be considered. Certified check(s), bank cashier's check(s), or bid bond(s) shall be required with the Base Bid(s) equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid(s). Listing of Subcontractors: Every Bidder must supply the Subcontractor list completed and submitted to the Owner at the same location specified for receipt of Bids. The Bidder shall name the Subcontractor with whom the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will subcontract for performance of the work of: a. heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, b. plumbing as described in RCW 18.106, c. electrical work as described in RCW 19.28, d. fire protection work as described in Section 210000 ofthe Project Manual; and e. any other categories of Work listed on the Subcontractor listing form. Any Bidder who intends to selfperform any of the categories of Work must name itself for each such category of Work. The list must be submitted in the envelope with the sealed Alternate Bids if any. The list, of Subcontractors must designate the work for which each such Subcontractor is to perform. Failure to Comply With This Requirement Shall Render the Bid(S) Void. No bidder may withdraw its Bid after the time set for the receipt thereof, or before award of Contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any Bid or in the bidding.
