Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in South Burlington, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Replace B300 AC / Restoration B310 Water Damage / Security Gate Improvements / Repair Lift Station Pumps and Controls / 2019 Base Pavement Repairs Classification Code Z- Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property Set Aside: Small Business NAICS Code: 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction The USPFO for Vermont intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single firm fixed price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, appliances, and supervision necessary for 5 minor constructions projects. 1. Replace/repair the air conditioning in Building 300. 2. Restoration of water damage of multiple walls in building 310. 3. Security gate improvements. 4. Repair the base lift station pumps and controls. 5. Base pavement repairs. Work will be performed at the 158th Fighter Wing, South Burlington, Vermont (Chittenden County) under the project numbers and titles CURZ192306 Replace B300 AC / CURZ192308 B310 Water Damage Restoration / CURZ 1192310 Security Gate Improvements / CURZ 1192311 Repair Lift Station Pumps and Controls / CURZ 1192313 2019 Base Pavement Repairs. Below is a brief description of the 5 projects listed above: Replace/Repair AC B300: Building 300's air-conditioning system requires several repairs and replacements. Replace Air Handling Unit (AHU) #1 and Condensers. AHU #1 is a York model #CS113-SH-FCLP. The unit contains two cooling coils, and one heating coil. The cooling coils are fed from condenser units #1 and #2 located to the south of the building, both of which are inoperable. AHU #1 is located in the main electrical/mechanical room in B300 in a congested area with mezzanine access. The refrigerant coil loops contain R-22 refrigerant. Water Damage Restoration B310: Building 310 sustained water damage along the base of multiple walls due to a burst sprinkler head. The contractor shall repair wall and trim in the upper and lower levels of Building 310. The existing cove base and wooden baseboard in certain areas have been removed to allow walls to dry. The contractor shall use salvaged Government provided 1" x 8" wood baseboard where possible. Work to repair building interior walls shall include but not be limited to the following: Skim coating bottom of walls as necessary to prep for installing various base materials per plans, patching 1" dia. drilled holes in sheet rock walls in stairwell, repairing one large rectangular sheet rock hole being approximately 26" x 30" in size, installing new cove base in damaged areas, installing new wooden base board, installing salvaged wooden baseboard, priming and painting repaired walls and steam cleaning existing carpets in affected rooms. Security Gate Improvements: Construction of a stone veneer clad concrete site wall adjacent to Mustang Pass, South of Building 410. Included in this work will be associated site work, and the relocation of an existing approximately 8" diameter tree. Repair Lift Station Pumps and Controls: The Base's main sewage lift station consists of a wet well, pump pit, and above ground controls station. System consists of two Cornell 15hp duplex sewage pumps (model numbers 4NNTCS), variable frequency drives (VFDs), floats, and related controls installed in 2001. Remove and dispose of existing pump #2 complete. Replace pump #2 with updated model of similar capacity and performance. Replace existing VFD with government furnished VFD. VFD is Yaskawa AC Drive V1000, model number CIMRVU2A0056FAA. The replacement pump #2 and VFD shall be installed by the contractorcomplete and ready to operate, including all necessary connections to sources of electrical power, interconnection between field equipment and input/output cabinets, telecommunications and accessories as specified or as recommended for best operation for the equipment furnished. 2019 Base Pavement Repairs: Removal of approximately 1,150 sf of failed 4" asphalt pavement, and replacement with 6" of new hot mix asphalt pavement, in the base's POL Compound upper yard. Repainting of all identified markings on the base's Airfield surfaces, to include: 6" Yellow Taxiway Centerlines with glass beads and (2) Black border lines (2) 6" Yellow Taxiway Shoulder markings with glass beads and (3) Black border lines 6" Yellow Arm/Disarm Pad Taxi lines with glass beads and (2) Black border lines (2) 6" Yellow Arm/Disarm Pad Shoulder markings with glass beads and (2) Black border Lines 1' x 3' Yellow Arm/Disarm Pad Aircraft Parking spot Nose Wheel marks with glass Beads 24" White Vehicle Stop Bars x various lengths with glass beads Yellow and Black Controlled Movement Area (CMA) Hold Line. Yellow paint to receive glass beads. Yellow and Black Instrument Landing System (ILS) area Hold Line. Yellow paint to receive glass beads. Red, White, and Black CMA pavement signage Red, White, and Black ILS pavement signage. This project is being procured as Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 237990, with a size standard of $36,500,000.00. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
