The construction of a wash bay addition and site improvements at the Department of Public Works Building at 104 Landfill Road. Work to be performed in this project includes the addition of a drive-through wash bay to the existing building, modifications to the existing building including, but not limited to, new overhead doors, replacement of rooftop HVAC units, and site improvements, including but not limited to, electric vehicle charging stations, stormwater facility construction, parking lot striping. All questions must be submitted within ten (10) working days of the submission deadline. The project includes the following work at the existing South Burlington Department of Public Works building located at 104 Landfill Road in South Burlington: 1. The addition of a 1302 sf drive-through wash bay to the south end of the existing building. The addition is largely "in-kind" , including: structural o Concrete frost walls and insulated slab on grade o Structural steel primary framing members, columns, and beams supporting o Metal stud framed walls with CMU veneer piers and base o Insulated steel overhead doors and aluminum storefront windows o Open web steel joistssupporting a sloping steel roof deck, continuousinsulation and EPDM roof membrane. o Modifications to existing utilities as required 2. Modifications to the existing building to: o Add a new overhead door to the existing southernmost bay of the building o Replace existing rooftop mechanical units with higher efficiency units (Alternate 3). 3. Site Improvements to reconfigure parking in front (west and south) of the existing building including o the addition of electric vehicle charging stalls, o a bio-retention planter to improve on-site stormwater management, o additional planted islandsto better define intended vehicular circulation pathways, parking striping, signage, and site lighting o bollards to protect building corners, openings and equipment including generator and electrical transformer.
