Air Conditioning Modification for the Pen Argyl High School. The project for which bids are being solicited will be subject to the applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to the Pen Argyl Area School District in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bonds in amounts equal to 100% of the contract price. Surety shall be satisfactory to the School District and shall be included in the contractor's bid amount. Pen Argyl Area School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, and to make or not make awards in the best interest of the Pen Argyl Area School District. Without intending to limit or restrict the extent of WORK required under this PROJECT, the WORK is generally comprised of the following: The Work consists of the installation of a chiller, and chilled water piping distribution system through the existing High School. In addition, the work consists of the replacement of unit ventilators and installation of new ductwork, piping and air handling units. The Work also includes electrical system modifications as required by the new Mechanical Work as well as a complete automatic temperature control system replacement throughout the facility. It is the responsibility of each bidder to visit the site and become acquainted with the conditions of the work involved. It is the responsibility of the contractors being awarded the project to obtain and pay for all required permits for the job.
