The bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope containing Bid Proposal and Bid Bond or certified check and all forms listed in the attachments to the plans and specifications and shall be addressed to The Borough of Old Forge, and shall be plainly marked with the wording, "OLD FORGE BOROUGH BUILDING RENOVATION PROJECT". GENERAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO INCLUDE ALL WORK INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SITE WORK AND EXCAVATION, GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, HVAC, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL AND REMOVAL OF ASBESTOS CONTAINING BUILDING MATERIALS AND UNIVERSAL WASTES. THIS PROJECT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO COORDINATE WITH ALL OTHER OWNER CONTRACTS. The bid must be accompanied by a certified/cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, made payable to The Borough of Old Forge. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof or to waive any informalities in the bidding. If written notice of the acceptance of this Bid is mailed or delivered to the successful bidder within ten (10) days after the opening thereof, or at any time thereafter before the Bid is withdrawn, the said bidder agrees to execute and deliver the Project Agreement in the form prescribed by the Borough or forfeit said Bid Bond. Questions shall be received no later than 4 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020. The contract documents contain requirements regarding nondiscrimination in hiring practices, and related matter, including performance and payment bonds and liability insurance. This bid is a State Prevailing Wage Rate project.
