There are one prime contracts as follows 1. General Construction & HVAC to include incidental Plumbing & Electrical This project will consist of making renovations to the Old Forge Senior Center including kitchen improvements and accessibility improvements. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashiers check, in favor of Lackawanna County, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%). Bidders must submit with their bids all forms listed in the Attachments to Plans and Specifications. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. Bidders who have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made must submit documentary evidence of minority and women business enterprises and Section 3 business concerns. Documentation of such solicitations and commitments shall be submitted concurrently with the bid. Lackawanna County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days.
