Site work and paving for a civil project in Clinton, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project consists of the following items and approximate quantities: 14- sanitary sewer treatment units (required certified installers - see Section 4 of the project specifications); 500 L.F. of sanitary sewer lateral, 4"; 14 - electrical services; 14 - effluent testing stations; 30 S.Y. of driveway and sidewalk removal and replacement; 14 - septic tank abandonments; fertilizing, seeding, and mulching; and miscellaneous appurtenant work usually associated with a wastewater improvement project. Bids will be considered by the Board of Supervisors during their meeting beginning at 9:00 A.M. on March 22, 2021, in the Board Room at the Clinton County Administration Building, 1900 North Third Street, Clinton, Iowa. The work under the proposed Contract shall commence upon issuance of the written Notice to Proceed. The proposed wastewater improvements listed shall be fully completed on or before September 30, 2021. The Bidder agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $300 for each consecutive calendar day after the specified completion date that the project is not fully completed. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Code of Iowa. Bid security shall be 10% of the bid amount. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes. Iowa sales tax will not be paid on materials purchased for this project. The County will issue a sales tax exemption certificate.
