The project consists of the placement of clean white beach compatible sand obtained from the Honeyville Sand Mine in Wewahitchka, Florida. The Indian Peninsula segment will be constructed first followed by the St. Joe Beach segment. The two segments will be bid as one award. The Bidders are responsible for verifying all quantities. The project consists of two shoreline segments: along the gulf front beaches of Gulf County, Florida: 1) Indian Peninsula between DEP Monuments R-135 and R-155 for 20,300 linear feet (3.8 miles) of shoreline for a total template volume of 121,800 cubic yards (cy) of sand and 315,778 native dune plantings. 2) Beacon Hill (St. Joe Beach) between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Monuments R-1 (Bay/Gulf County Line) and R-16 for 16,100 linear feet (3.05 miles) of shoreline for a total template volume of 86,467 cubic yards (cy) of sand and 250,444 native dune plantings. Completion date for this project will be a total of 240-days (150 days for Indian Peninsula and 90-days for Beacon Hill) from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful Bidder. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $800.00 per day. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.
