Renovation of a municipal facility in Plumsteadville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,500-square-foot municipal facility.
Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township and must be accompanied by the non-collusion and workmen compensation affidavits, and a bid bond, issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to the Township. Bidders must be prequalified by PennDOT as contractors (if specified in the bid documents). This project is subject to the regulations of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act 442) as amended. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory insurance, Performance, Payment & Maintenance Bonds (if specified in the bid documents) with a corporate surety approved by the Township. Award of contract, if a contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Township reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 3/26/2021 12:00 PM Existing: 2 roofs on 2" fiberboard. Roof area is approximately 4500 square feet. Contractor will, at a minimum, supply, perform or otherwise furnish the following: A. Protect all plantings, walkways, buildings and grounds from damage and debris by covering with tarps, as needed. B. Remove existing roof down to metal roof deck and properly dispose of debris. C. Inspect roof decking and notify Plumstead Township personnel of any damage or issues. Advise Township representative of corrective action needed and cost of said action. D. Install 1 'A" ISO insulation board onto roof deck and secure with screws. E. Install tapered insulation at 1/4" per foot and secure with screws. F. Install new .060 black, fully adhered EPDM rubber membrane with 20 year warranty. G. Make all roof protrusions watertight where they intersect the roof deck. H. Install new heavy gauge edge metals and flash as required. I. Run a magnet over and remove debris from walkways and driveway as necessary to maintain safe access and to not hinder daily business operations. J. Provide a 10-year workmanship warranty. K. Provide a list of materials to be used and their manufacturer and associated warranties, if applicable. L Contractor will be responsible for maintaining safe access to building entryways throughout the job. Any necessary closures will need to be planned for and approved by Plumstead Township personnel at least 24 hours prior to closure. M. Contractor will be responsible for the safe and appropriate disposal of all debris generated by the abovementioned work.
