Site work and paving for a road / highway in Americus, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The retainage shall be an amount equal to 10% of Contractor's partial pay estimate of the work that has been completed. When the Work has been substantially completed except for Work which cannot be completed because of weather conditions, lack of materials or other reasons which in the judgment of Sumter County are valid reasons for non-completion, Sumter County may in its discretion make additional payments, retaining at all times an amount sufficient to cover the estimated cost of the Work still to be completed. Partial pay estimates may include stored materials. Contractor must submit invoices, and all materials must be located at the site of the work. Retainage will not be held on stored materials. The work to be performed shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the project entitled 2021 SPLOST/TSPLOST/LMIG PAVING PROJECT as shown in the Contract Documents. In general, construction consists of approximately 18.31 miles of Plant Mix Maintenance Resurfacing and 10.35 miles of striping only on various county roads in Sumter County. This work will be awarded in one contract. The work shall be fully completed within 150 consecutive calendar days from the date notice to proceed is given. Payment will be made within ten days after receipt of each Application for Payment as further outlined in the Contract Documents.
