The Base Bid will include milling, resurfacing, pavement marking, ADA curb ramps, stormwater improvements, curb and mobilization./demobilization, in the following areas, with in the City of Southport; East Street, from Southport Road to Dead End, Pine Street, from Southport Road to Culvert (Bridge), Wedgewood Dr., from McFarland Rd. to Partridge Rd., Stonycroft Ln., from McFarland Rd. to Partridge Rd., Stop 10 Road, from Walnut St. to City Limits, Southfield Dr., from Stop 10 Rd. to Shakespeare Dr., Main St., Southport Rd. to Dead End (South), Crossgate Ln., from Corey Dr. to Stop 11 Road. Alternate items include paving of alleys and various sidewalk and paving improvements within the City of Southport. The Project, which is funded from Town budgeted funds and a CCMG grant, will be constructed in up to one (1) contract division. In general, the work consists of providing all labor and materials for resurfacing a street. Copies of any and all addenda which may be issued for this project shall be included with the purchased documents and shall be forwarded to all bid documents holders at their return street address. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety or by a certified check on a solvent bank. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Bid. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. All bids received shall remain valid and in force for 60 calendar days after the date of Bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole or in part as specified in the solicitation when it is not in the best interest of the governmental body as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5-22-18-2. The Owner also reserves the right to waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid, which is deemed most favorable to the Owner.
