Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for completion of the improvements as shown on the Drawings. This shall include, but not be limited to: removal (and disposal) of the existing sand & anthracite media, demolition and removal of the existing Leopold underdrain systems, removal and replacement of the existing air headers/manifolds, installation of new stainless steel underdrains, reinstallation of the sand & anthracite media and final testing and preparation of the installation prior to filtration of water and placement into operation. Question Cutoff Date: 9/9/2021 08:00 PM (ET) The Engineer's estimate is: $922,500 - $1,127,500 This Project is deemed a Horizontal Construction Project. Bid Security: Each Bidder's proposal must be accompanied by a copy of a Cashier's Check made payable to TMWA or Bid Bond acceptable to TMWA in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Bidder's "Base Bid" Proposal. The original Cashier's Check or Bid Bond must be received by TMWA within 7 calendar days of bid closing. Bid Security shall be payable without condition to TMWA as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly execute the Contract in accordance with the Bid Proposal and in the manner and form required by the Contact Documents, and will furnish the required Performance and Payment bonds. Should the Bidder refuse to enter into such Contract or fail to furnish such bonds, the amount of the Bid Security may be forfeited to TMWA as liquated damages, not a penalty.
