The Town of Walkersville is replacing approximately 175 linear feet of 4 ductile iron water main along Pennsylvania Street. Scope of Work : 1. Meet with Town of Walkersville representatives to discuss and advise on overall project. 2. Install approximately 175 linear feet of 4 water main, tapping the 4 main for (3) existing water services and running them to the property line with new copper line. 3. Install (3) new meter vaults and yokes. Tie back to homeowners water service. 4. Remove (3) existing valves, cut and cap the 4 and 8 water lines once valves are removed and install new 6 valve. 5. Reduce 6 valve to 4 for new 4 water main. 6. Obtain construction permits/approvals, respond to all review comments and request for review comments and requests for information from the permitting agency. 7. Contact Miss Utility . The contractor is required to have all utilities located prior to beginning individual projects, by calling Miss Utility at (800) 257-7777. The Contractor is responsible for the repair of any utilities damaged by the Contractor or his sub-contractors . 8. Advise and answer questions that arise prior and during construction phase of project. Bid Bond. Please attach Bid Bond for 5% of total bid. Payment Bond . Upon execution of the contract, the Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract. Performance Bond .
