Spring Garden Estates Water Main Replacement The principal features of work to be performed under this contract include, but are not limited to, the installation of approximately 4,900 LF, new 8-inch, Ductile Iron Pipe, install 7 fire hydrants, remove and replace 17 driveway culverts, replace 65 water service connections, above-ground temporary water main, pavement repair, proper trench restoration. The project limits are shown on the Contract Drawings. Coordination of and installation shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. No bids will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or a treasurer's check drawn on a bank or a bid bond payable to the Town of Walkersville, Maryland, 21 W. Frederick St., Walkersville, Maryland 21793, in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid price. In addition, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and also a Performance Bond in the full amount of the Contract Award. The successful bidder will be required to give bond and comply with the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland respecting Contracts.
