**As of 3/18/2022 Project The project listed is currently in the prequalification process. No awarded contractor yet. The project includes installation of approximately twenty (20) new high temperature water (HTW) valves (size ranging from 4" to 16") in various vaults, walkable underground tunnels, and manholes throughout the School of Medicine on the west campus. The scope includes: replacement of 16" segmentation plug valves on the HTW main distribution loop and 8" branch valves in the same vault. replacement of valves in various other locations to support the primary work, replacements for failed valves and new bypass piping, valves, and ball joints to minimize HTW service disruption to key facilities within the area, and construction of a small segment of new 6" direct-buried, encased bypass piping to connections in a nearby vault and furnish and facilitate operation of trailer-mounted temporary medium-temperature (200F) boilers at least at one building to maintain HVAC heating during related HTW branch valve replacements. The project may require construction of a small segment of utilidor to support the HTW bypass. The construction must commence and be completed within the summer of 2022. The Contractor shall have demonstrated an average annual business revenue of at least $5,000,000 over the last five (5) consecutive years. The Contractor must have demonstrated experience on their best three (3) comparable projects with the Contractor providing services as General Building Contractor and Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractor within the last ten (10) years. Projects should have possessed the following construction challenges: Urban site work with limited construction space and staging areas; repairs, renovations/expansions of existing systems requiring proactive and innovative solutions due to noise/vibrations; repairs, renovations/expansions of existing systems requiring proactive and innovative solutions in order to avoid or minimize service disruptions to active facilities, multiple depressurization and draining outages for large main HTW loop.
