The work consists of the installation of approximately 915 L.F. of 4-inch diameter C900-DR18 waterline, water service replacement and abandonment, surface restoration, maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) within the PennDOT right-of-way pavement and drainage improvements to Lower Main Street and all required appurtenances. The project is located along Main Street (SR 0913) and Lower Main Street in Saxton Borough, Bedford County, Pennsylvania A certified check or bid bond payable to or naming as obligee Saxton Borough in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must be deposited with the proposal. Bidders must submit with their bids the Non-Collusion Affidavit contained in the contract documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract and submit evidence of its qualifications to perform the work. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish performance and payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. The Jefferson County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality and to award the contract as may be deemed by the County to be in their best interest. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening.
