Site work for a water / sewer project in Saxton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project includes replacement of the existing Lift Station at the Power Plant Road Lift Station and associated electrical/telemetry upgrades. The project will be financed by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority. Bidders are directed to the Super Cross Cutter requirements of the Bid Documents for construction projects funded under the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan programs. Notice is given that not less than the minimum wage rates set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid to employees on this project in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor, Davis-Bacon General Wage Decision. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements also apply to this project Each bid must be accompanied by a Bank Check, Certified Check; or Bid Bond naming as payee or obligee, the Saxton Borough Municipal Authority, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and the submission other documents as required by the Bidding Documents The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish performance and payment bonds, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. All bonds shall be executed by sureties named in "Circular 570 - Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" (current publication) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department. The Saxton Borough Municipal Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or items therein, to waive any defects or irregularities in the Bids, and to accept any Bid which, in its judgment, is in its best interest. Bids shall remain open for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the date of Bid opening. No bids may be withdrawn, except when the Bidder complies with the withdrawal requirements of Act No. 4 of the General Assembly of Pennsylvania, Senate Bill 793, Printers No. 1655, as amended. Question Deadline 10/01/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
