BIDS are invited for the following contract: AVOCA BOROUGH 2023 STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Attention is called to the Prevailing Minimum Wage requirements contained within the Contract Documents that are to be utilized for this project. BID SECURITY in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit a payment bond for 100% of the contract amount and a performance bond for 100% of the contract amount within 15 days of the contract being awarded. The successful bidder will also be required to submit a two-year maintenance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. This project is funded by a grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority, Local Share Account Program. THE BOROUGH OF AVOCA reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive informalities in the bidding. THE BOROUGH OF AVOCA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability of familial status in employment of the provision of service. BIDS may be held by THE BOROUGH OF AVOCA for a period not to exceed Ninety (90) days from the date of the Opening of the Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, prior to awarding the Contract. In this period of time, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid.
