The City of Wasilla's is looking for a contractor to remove and replace the Ice Rink R-22 Refrigerant. The Menard Sports Center is located at 1001 S. Clapp Street. The existing ice rink uses R22 as a refrigerant for the chiller that freezes the glycol that cycles through concrete slabs to make "ice." Proposers must submit one (1) original and three (3) copies of their proposal to the Purchasing Officer in a sealed package. The cost proposal included with the package must be sealed separately from the rest of the proposal and must be clearly identified. The contract term and work schedule set out herein represents the City's best estimate of the schedule that will be followed. If a component of this schedule, such as the deadline for receipt of proposals, is delayed, the rest of the schedule may be shifted. The approximate date of award will be September 12, 2023. Unless otherwise provided in this RFP, the City and the successful Proposer/contractor agree: (1) that any holding over of the contract excluding any exercised renewal options, will be considered as a month-to-month extension, and all other terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect and (2) to provide written notice to the other party of the intent to cancel such month-to-month extension at least 30-days before the desired date of cancellation.
