Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wasilla, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The City of Wasilla is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide labor, equipment and materials to construct a bioretention facility, drainage and parking lot improvements at the intersection of Herning Avenue and Knik Street. The project located in the southeast quadrant of Herning Ave. and Knik St. on lots owned by the City of Wasilla having legal description Wasilla Townsite (USS 1175) Block 2 Lots 11 and 12 and associated rights of way. The basic bid includes excavation, embankment and grading to improve the existing gravel parking lot, construct a bioretention ditch with underdrain and connection to the City's existing stormdrain system, landscaping and final stabilization. If funds are available, Additive Alternate 1 will replace the top 6" of leveling course with asphalt concrete to pave the regraded parking lot Base bid work shall be substantially complete by October 31, 2023 besides landscaping items. Final completion shall be by June 30, 2024. Estimated project magnitude is less than $100,000. : Prior to the award of a contract, a bidder must hold a valid State of Alaska and City of Wasilla business license.
