Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Burlington, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The scope of the work consists of repairs and improvements along Church Street; at the intersection of Church St & College St, the intersection of Church St & Bank St, and the globe paver installation on Church St between Main St and College St. Work at Church St & College St consists of the installation of granite detectable warning pavers along intersection edges, replacing the brick crosswalks, granite curb crosswalk edges, brick pavers within intersection, subbase materials, with full depth bituminous pavement sections matching into existing pavement on both ends. Work at Church St & Bank St consists of the installation of granite detectable warning pavers along the intersection edges. Work at the globe paver installation on Church St between Main St and College St consists of replacing the existing globe pavers and granite line inlays in kind, as well as surrounding brick pavers within the adjacent granite line inlay, replacing two earthline city markers in kind, removing and resetting existing plaques, and grinding the edge of concrete sidewalk. Add Alternate No. 1 consists of removing three abandoned tree pits along Church Street, installing base and subbase materials, bituminous base and setting beds, and brick pavers matching into the surrounding grades and matching the colors and pattern of surrounding pavers. Add Alternate No. 2 consists of removal and replacement of brick pavers at spot locations exhibiting damaged, missing, and/or settled pavers, replacing base and subbase materials, as well as brick pavers matching into the surrounding grades and matching the colors and pattern of surrounding pavers. CONTRACT START DATE: Work shall not begin prior to March 1, 2024. CONTRACT COMPLETION DATE: The Contract shall be completed on or before November 22, 2024. Work continued after November 22, 2024 shall be subject to accrue liquidated damages as set forth by the GENERAL PROVISIONS of the City of Burlington VT 2023 Engineering Specifications. ENGINEERS ESTIMATE: The Engineers Estimate of the base bid for this Proposal is $500,000- $1,000,000. For City of Burlington, prequalification shall be submitted by interested Bidders a minimum of 5 days before the Bid Due Date unless they are already qualified with the City of Burlington under a prior project. The general contractor superintendent shall attend bi-weekly construction progress meetings with City representatives. The design team and construction subcontractors shall be involved in these meetings as necessary and requested. The City shall be responsible for securing a meeting location and preparing all meeting materials, notes, and action items. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
