Update:Currently the WTP has two diesel generators that power the treatment plant in the event of a power failure. Due to the age of the generator they cannot fully run in sync with each other and it causes the generators to lose power when they are running. Since the generator is used for an emergency basis it is desired to replace the duel generators with one new generator that can power the whole plant and still have capacity for future expansion. As part of this project, a new diesel generator will be purchased and installed along with a new automatic transfer switch that will allow the generator to power up in the event of a power loss. The current lead time for a new diesel generator is 95-98 weeks.
