SCOPE: The City of Hallandale Beach (City) is seeking bids from all interested and qualified Firms (Proposer) who can perform lift station rehabilitation services for use by the City of Hallandale Beach Public Works Department. The intent of the project is to rehabilitate and improve the existing Lift Station # 12 located within portions of SW 4th Avenue right-of-way between SW 5th Street and SW 6th Street. The work to be performed includes but is not limited to, the site, civil, mechanical, structural and electrical work associated with the construction of the Lift Station # 12 Rehabilitation. The project consists of the conversion of the existing dry pit lift station into a submersible pump lift station utilizing the existing wet well, gravity main and force main connections. Sizing and design for a permanent generator and slab are included.The City of Hallandale Beach has been awarded Fourteen Million Eight Hundred Seventy-Nine Thousand Two Hundred Nineteen Dollars and Zero Cents ($14,879,219.00) in CDBG-MIT (Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation) and Federal Register Notice (84 FR 45838, 8/30/2019) funding for the retrofitting of four lift stations and two force main pipelines. A new telemetry system will also be installed to improve emergency response capabilities by enabling City staff to monitor and control the retrofitted system remotely. This modernization allows for early detection and mitigation of storm risks or system failures. Security Bonds: Each proposer must provide with the submission a Proposal Guarantee/Bond in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) payable to the City of Hallandale Beach. These funds are not cashed. These funds are retained guaranteeing the firm submitting the proposal will not withdraw the proposal for such period of time as the Commission provides a Resolution for award of contract. PERFORMANCE AND LABOR MATERIALS PAYMENT BOND: Proof of 100% of total contract bonding capacity must be submitted with solicitation is required. Awarded Contractor must submit bonds no later than fifteen (15) days after receipt of Notification of Award. LOCATION OF WORK A. The work is located within portions of SW 4th Ave R/O/W to R/O/W between SW 5th Street and SW 6th Street. It is bound by the following properties: in the north by 313 SW 5th St., in the west by 510 SW 4th Ave, in the South by 312 SW 6th St., and in the east by the Schaffer Canal in the city of Hallandale Beach, Florida.
