Deviation from this submittal procedure will subject the proposal to rejection. The work of this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: Roadway Reconstruction Of Lake Drive And Holly Avenue Consisting Of Pavement Reconstruction Including Approximately 5,950 Sy Varying Depth Milling; 2,685 Sy Full Road Reconstruction; 637 Tons Hot Mix Asphalt Base And 1,068 Tons Surface Course; 1,147 Lf Of Concrete Vertical Curb Reconstruction; 450 Lf Of Concrete Curb And Integral Gutter; Traffic Striping; And All Work Necessary And Incidental Thereto. The Contractor Is Advised That It Is The Borough's Intent To Issue The Notice To Proceed For This Project On Or About September 16,2024 Each Proposal must be submitted utilizing the forms contained within the Contract Documents. It must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the BIDDER, his address and name of Project(s) for which the Bid is submitted. Materials to be contained within the sealed envelope are specified under "Instructions to Bidders." Bid Proposals shall be complete, in ink, and any Bids incomplete or not submitted in a sealed, specially addressed envelope may be considered informal. Shipping charges are additional and variable depending upon the pick-up or delivery option selected by the purchaser. Each Bid must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the full amount of each Contract Bid, not to exceed $20,000. Surety shall be made payable to: Borough of Island Heights, and shall be without condition or qualification. All Bidders shall be required to comply with Chapter 127, P.L. 1975, c. 127, requiring each Bidder and each Subcontractor to formulate and submit to the proper authorized representative of the State of New Jersey an Affirmative Action Program of equal opportunity which guarantees minorities employment in all categories. --Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. Seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. --All Bidders must also comply with the Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. and the N.J.S.A. 34:1 B-5.1, Chapter 150, Laws of 1963. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all Bids, if it is in the public interest to do so. If the Bidder is a Corporation or a Partnership, the Bidder, in conformance with Chapter 33, P.L. 1977, shall submit with his Bid, a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders who own a 10 percent or greater interest in the firm.
