The Work of This Contract Includes, but is Not Necessarily Limited to the Following: Bid 1 Includes Replacement of 918 Residential/commercial Billing Water Meters With Positive Displacement Style Meters Including Radio Transmitters and Batteries Throughout the Borough and Integration Into the Borough's Existing Billing System. Locations of Existing Meters Include Basements, Crawl Spaces, Meter Pits and Inside Residental/commercial Buildings. Bid 2 Includes Replacement of 918 Residential/commercial Billing Water Meters With Ultrasonic Style Meters Including Radio Transmitters and Batteries Throughout the Borough and Integration Into the Borough's Existing Billing System. Locations of Existing Meters Include Basements, Crawl Spaces, Meter Pits and Inside Residental/commercial Buildings. Bidders Are to Take Note That the Borough Encourages Submission of Bids for This Project. As Such, a Bidder May Choose to Submit Either 1) Bid 1 Without Bid 2 2) Bid 2 Without Bid 1 or 3) Both a Bid 1 and Bid 2. The Borough Will Collectively Review All Bids Received and Intends to Make One Single Award in Accordance With Information Provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Each Bid must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the full amount of each Contract Bid, not to exceed $20,000. Surety shall be made payable to: Borough of Island Heights and shall be without condition or qualification. All applicable surety bonds required in connection with the advertisement and award of building contracts or sub agreements must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds), incorporated herein by reference. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all Bids, if it is in the public interest to do so.
