The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the installation of a water main extension along Lake Avenue. This involves the installation of approximately 550 linear feet of new 8-inch diameter C900 PVC water main, installation of approximately four house service connections from the new main to the curb stop, installation of tapping valves, insertion valves, gate valves, hydrants, fittings, thrust blocks, and general site restoration as shown on the drawings and specified. Alternate 1 consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install drainage pipe and structures, including 80 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe, 260 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE pipe, inlet basins, and storm manholes as shown and specified. Each proposal must be submitted utilizing the forms in the contract documents and in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's name, address, and project name. Materials to be included within the sealed envelope are specified under 'Instructions to Bidders.' Proposals shall be complete, in ink, and any incomplete or improperly submitted bids may be considered informal. Each bid must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a bid bond or certified check equal to ten percent of the full amount of the contract bid, not to exceed $20,000. Surety shall be made payable without condition or qualification. All bidders must comply with relevant New Jersey statutes and regulations, including equal opportunity and prevailing wage requirements. If the bidder is a corporation or partnership, the bid shall include a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders owning ten percent or greater interest in the firm. The Borough reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any and all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
