Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kellogg, Idaho. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This Project will regrade and repave the existing parking lot to direct storm water into new bio-infiltrations swales, storm water planters, and storm water infiltration devices. The Project will remove parking islands that are not effectively collecting storm water and replace those with upgraded nutrient reuse areas. The goals of the Project include reducing nutrient loading into the Southfork of the Coeur d Alene (CDA) River produced from storm water run-off and is funded by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) as an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Project. The Project has an expected duration of 55 working days, with a substantial completion date of August 23, 2024. Final completion- August 30, 2024 For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Question Deadline 04/10/2024 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Contact information and submittal procedures for such questions are as follows: A. Felicia Cassidy at felicia.cassidy@alta-se.com B. Include "Stormwater Goes to School" in the email subject. **Document Notes: Bidding documents may also be examined at the Kellogg School District Office located at 800 Bunker Avenue, Kellogg, Idaho, 83837. General Work will include providing the necessary materials, equipment, labor, installation and seeding for: bio-infiltration swales, curbs, piping, and re-grading and paving the existing parking lot. Installation of signage and traffic control markings will be included in the Complete Project. The Project is located in the Bunker Hill Superfund Site. Soils and materials that are considered contaminated with legacy mining waste may be encountered during construction. All employees engaged in the Work and any employee accessing cleanup repositories shall hold a current 40-hourHAZWOPER certification. In addition, the Contractor shall be licensed by the Panhandle Health District (PHD) and obtain an ICP permit for the Project prior to commencing Work. The Work shall be constructed according to the Contract Drawings, Technical Specifications, and Special Provisions herein. Well-planned work sequencing, overall safety in public areas, access and construction easements, and all coordination with utility companies are requirements of the Contractor. Other construction work may be completed during the same time frame and cooperation with other contractors will be a requirement of this Contract. Parts of the buildings will be open during construction and limited access will be required. The Contractor should plan to allow access for these needs given reasonable notice.
