Site work and new construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in Allegan, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.
Contractor shall design a storage area addition and future propane tank and utility supply conduit as generally described and portrayed in Section 1.4. The current facility plan set can be provided to Contractor upon request. 2.2 During this task, Contractor shall: 2.2.1 Discuss the basic needs for the new storage addition and propane tank with the County's Project Team to set critical design parameters. Although these may be incorporate into the final base design or as an alternative, the Project Team does not believe the storage space will need any HVAC systems for climate control or plumbing fixtures to provide water. 2.2.2 Develop a basic design to meet all critical design parameters including a few potential alternates for enhancing the basic design. 2.2.3 Go through two complete design iterations with the County's Project Team, one to review the initial design and alternates and one to review the final draft design and alternates incorporating feedback following each to produce a final design deliverable. 2.2.4 Confirm the specifications needed to site a propane tank and supply it with utility services, building those into the design. Special consideration should be given for the need to fuel buses from the driver's side and circulation around the building is in a counter-clockwise direction. Options for using a parking spot for pull-in and pull-out while fueling or adding an asphalt lane around the right-hand side of the propane tank should be considered. Contractor Inquiries - due by 3:00 p.m. on June 10, 2024. Should Contractor find any discrepancies, omissions, ambiguities, or conflicts within the RFP packet, be in doubt about their meaning, or have any questions about the RFP process or the scope of work, they should bring such questions in writing to the attention of: Patti Wartella - Project Management Specialist Allegan County - County Services Building 3283 122nd Ave Allegan, MI 49010 projects@allegancounty.org 7.4 County Response - posted by 5:00 p.m. on June 12, 2024. The County will compile and review all questions received from contractors and post responses to the County's website www.allegancounty.org as an RFP Clarification. Clarifications modifying the Agreement or Scope of Work will be incorporated into the final Agreement. The County will not be responsible for any oral instructions. Bond Notes: Performance and Payment Bonds The following bonds or securities shall be secured by the Contractor should the construction cost, once determined, exceed $50,000. These bonds or securities shall be included in this Agreement and become binding on the parties. A. A performance bond satisfactory to the County, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Michigan or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the County, in an amount equal to 100% of the price specified in this Agreement; and B. A payment bond satisfactory to the County, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Michigan or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the County, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the Contractor or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided for in this Agreement. The bonds shall be an amount equal to 100% of the price specified in this Agreement.
