Renovation of a municipal facility in Amherst, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work involves steel lintel cleaning and painting at 11 windows and repointing of approximately 125 lf of masonry joints on the west and south sides of the existing DPW Building with the goal of reducing water leakage into a portion of the building. Question Deadline 07/03/2024 All questions shall be e-mailed to Simone Cristofori at cristoforis@amherstma.gov. Questions and inquiries will be accepted from any and all bidders and must be in writing. Questions will be answered in writing and both questions and answers will be distributed to all bidders who receive the IFB provided, however, that all questions are received at least seven (7) days in advance of the bidding deadline. A bid security in the form of a bid bond, cash or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price must accompany the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the contract award, not later than ten (10) working days after the award notification. Bonds will be for one (1) year and shall be renewed annually at the Contractor's expense. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, and to waive informalities, when at its sole discretion is deemed to be in the best interests of the Town and to the extent permitted by law.
