As of 8/15/2024, this project is not moving forward per the Owner. It will not go out for rebid. The Village of Waterford currently has 1 cantilever pier directly used by patrons launching and removing boats from the Village owned launch. A second matching pier is proposed to be constructed to be used for transient docking and additional fishing space. Pier includes an ADA compliant 6-inch thick concrete ramp for access. Inspection of current pier may be done at any time. A matching grant has been secured with the assistance of the Waterford Waterway District. Q&A Emailed to Proposers: July 8, 2024 Work to be completed, no later than October 30, 2024 Scope of Work For the purposes of this RFP it is essential for the selected company to fulfill the following requirements: 1. Notes: a. Please review provided site plan & general notes (C-1) and structural plans (S-1) for additional information and requirements not listed below. 2. Earthwork: a. Undercut areas below proposed structures to suitable soil material. b. Densify exposed granular soils encountered at base of excavations using a minimum of two passes with vibratory plate compaction equipment. c. Backfill and fill areas below proposed structures with compacted structural backfill material to the required subgrade elevation unless otherwise shown on the drawings. 3. Concrete Work: a. Provide concrete to specification b. Provide reinforcing bars to specification c. Provide additional reinforcing at openings in accordance to typical detail unless otherwise shown 4. Structural Steel Work: a. Fabricate and erect structural steel, shapes, and plates in accordance to specification b. Weld structural steel per specification c. Provide high strength bolts for structural steel connections per specification d. No field cutting of structural steel members for the work of other trades without prior approval of the engineer 5. Carpentry Work: a. Provide kiln dried southern yellow pine or Douglas fir larch, grade no. 1 or better wood framing pressure treated to minimum .40% retention and suitable for ground contact b. Provide KADT (kiln dried after treatment) decking in brown color c. Provide screw fasteners for any connection between lumber members that does not involve engineered fasteners; provide triple coated steel or stainless steel suitable for exposure to pressure treated lumber d. Provide engineered fasteners at all connections that are placed at an angle to the main member per specifications 6. Shoreline Work: a. Shoreline protection as needed b.
