The proposed improvements include: the replacement of submersible sewage pumps and accessories, piping, fittings, plug valves, check valves, hatch and other necessary and incidental work. Questions will be answered via addendum and posted on the City's website no later than 4:00 p.m. (CST) on August 15, 2024. The City of McHenry reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities. Prior to submitting a bid, a firm interested in submitting a bid as a Prime Contractor must complete and return a Notification of Intent to Bid form no less than three calendar days prior to the bid opening. Notification of Intent to Bid submittals will not be processed by the City after 3:30 PM three (3) calendar days preceding the published letting date. The City, in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that the contract(s) entered into pursuant to this Notice will be awarded to the successful Bidders without discrimination on the ground of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, familial status or national origin. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals or to accept the submittal(s) deemed most advantageous to the City. Bidder may withdraw their bid at any time up until the bid due date and time but may not withdraw their bid thereafter. When contract approval is required by another agency, such as the Federal Government or the State of Illinois, no bid shall be withdrawn or canceled for a period of ninety (90) calendar days. 31. Bonds: Payment and Performance Bonds are required for contracts with values at or exceeding $50,000.00. Performance Bond must be in the amount of 100% of the Agreement value. Any additional scope value during the project must be covered by the bonds. Obligee is City of McHenry, project owner for the Payment and Performance Bonds.
