Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Barnard, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The Project includes the following Work: Removal of an existing 48" culvert and installation of a new three-sided rigid frame structure with stone infill, headwalls, wingwalls, guardrail, road reconstruction outside the structure replacement area, and all associated work as outlined in the bid plans. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Owner in writing by email to Kassie Hull, Town Administrator at selectboard@barnardvt.us The number of days within which the Work is to be substantially completed will be 30 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed or as set forth in the Agreement between the Owner and the successful bidder. The Contractor is encouraged to complete the work during low-flow time. Contract completion shall be on or before November 22, 2024. This timeline is pending authorization from VT DEC to complete work after October 1st. VT DEC will make that determination following bid award.
