Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Barnard, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Project includes the following Work: Removal of an existing 48 culvert and installation of a new three-sided rigid frame structure with stone infill, headwalls, wingwalls, guardrail, road reconstruction outside the structure replacement area, and all associated work as outlined in the bid plans. Bid security is not required. No payment, performance, or other bonding is required. The number of days within which the Work is to be substantially completed will be 30 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed or as set forth in the Agreement between the Owner and the successful bidder. The Contractor is encouraged to complete the work during low-flow time. Contract completion shall be on or before June 13, 2025. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. Owner will reject the Bid of any Bidder that Owner finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. Bidder shallsubmit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documentsto Owner in writing by email to Kassie Hull, Town Administrator at selectboard@barnardvt.us. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
