Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in River Vale, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This project generally includes the following work tasks: 1. Clearing Site - remove all pavers and Belgium Block curbing, sidewalks, and vegetation. 2. Locate, and relocate underground electric service to new flagpole location. Provide new flagpole uplights with GFI duplex on post. 3. Protect and relocate existing "Enterpris" ship bow plate with support hardware to new location. Demolish existing concrete supports and reset into now concrete columns. 4. Relocate and reset the existing flagpole. 5. Provide and install 6 new flagpoles with flags. 6. Install new sidewalks. 7. Set metal letters in concrete. 8. Relocate various monuments and benches. 9. Provide and install new granite monuments. 10. Provide and install various landscaping improvements. 11. Provide and install topsoil, seed and mulch. Clean up park to the satisfaction of the Engineer and Township. 12. Equipment may be stored overnight at the site, DPW yard, and Township-owned property at the Township's discretion. The approximate quantities of major work items are as follows: Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick w/4" Stone 280 S.Y. Granite War Monuments With Granite Bases 1 L.S. Flagpoles with Flags 6 Units All bids must be submitted in the form of proposal prescribed by the Township of River Vale. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check to the order of the Township in an amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid, for each bid submitted. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1977, c. 33 and P.L. 1975, c. 127. Bidders must furnish a list of subcontractors to be used on the project. This bid solicitation is made in a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et. seq. The proposal shall further contain a consent of surety agreement under which the surety company agrees to post a performance and payment bond if the contract is awarded to its principal. All bids shall be irrevocable and shall not be subject to withdrawal for any reason for a period of sixty (60) days following the date fixed for the opening thereof. The Township of River Vale reserves the right to waive immaterial informalities in any bid or to reject all bids if the best interest of the Township so requires. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
