Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in River Vale, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
** As of 05/20/2025 project has been awarded to Covino & Sons with an awarded amount of $ 278,821.20.** The approximate quantities of major work items are as follows: 9"X9"X20" Concrete Vertical Curb 2,150 L.F. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick With 4" Stone 1,500 S.Y. Concrete Driveway, 6" Thick With 4" Stone 300 S.Y. All bids must be submitted in the form of a proposal prescribed by the Township of River Vale. Said forms of proposal, together with the contract plans and specifications prepared by the Township Engineer, are on file in the office of the Township Clerk at the Municipal Building and may be inspected during business hours. The proposal shall further contain a consent of surety agreement under which the surety company agrees to post a performance and payment bond if the contract is awarded to its principal. All bids shall be irrevocable and shall not be subject to withdrawal for any reason for a period of sixty (60) days following the date fixed for the opening thereof. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check to the order of the Township in an amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid, for each bid submitted. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1977, c. 33 and P.L. 1975, c. 127. Bidders must furnish a list of subcontractors to be used on the project. This bid solicitation is made in a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et. seq. The Township of River Vale reserves the right to waive immaterial informalities in any bid or to reject all bids if the best interest of the Township so requires. A 20% two-year maintenance bond in the form approved by the governing body may be accepted at the governing bodys discretion in lieu of the 10% retainage.
