Wildfire Mitigation Project Goodman Property: 2024 Forest Thinning (1 Unit, 26 Acres) Project Description: The Goodman Property is a private lands forestry project in Montezuma County comprising a total of 26 acres split into three treatment units. Current stand composition for the treatment units is primarily even-aged ponderosa pine with pinon/juniper and Gamble Oak understory. The units consist of 0-15% slopes with a southwestern aspect. This project includes selective thinning for wildfire mitigation, cutting, skidding, decking, and hauling of felled logs, and mastication of residual understory fuels. All bidders must submit the following information: Bidder's Name, Business Name and Contact Information Bid price (Total and by Individual Unit) Types and capability of equipment & crew size to be used to complete both the tree thinning/removal and mastication work A "plan of operations" to indicate how wood products will be utilized and removed from the treatment areas Timing (when can work begin/projected end date) Past examples of similar work (3 references) Certificate of Insurance For contractors new to forest health and logging practices, you must provide proof of attendance to the Forest Management Best Practices workshop facilitated by Wildfire Adapted Partnership. Or must be willing to attend prior to beginning work on the ground.
