Surdej, PIN-581389 NYSDOT Region 5 Public Information Officer 100 Seneca Street Buffalo, NY 14203-2939 Phone: 716-847-3239 NY DOT - Bridge Cleaning & Deck Sealing - SFY 24/25 This work shall consist of furnishing, installing, maintaining, removing, and disposing of a Geotextile sediment collection bag as shown in the contract documents or as directed by the Engineer. This work shall consist of cleaning bridges by removing and disposing of trash and debris from the bridge, washing the deck, exposed concrete, asphalt, and steel bridge surfaces, and cleaning the drainage system and other drainage ways in accordance with the Contract Documents and as directed by the Engineer. The cleaning and washing of bridges is divided into pay items based on the bridge length, type of washing to be done on steel, if any, and the type of washing to be done on concrete. This work shall consist of submitting cost records for incurred expenses related to obtaining and maintaining right-of-entry permits, private crossing agreements, protective services agreements, and other contractual instruments necessary to gain access to or work near Railroad property or property upon which a Railroad operates for the sole purpose of performing the work required by the Contract. Only costs necessitated by the Contract and required by the Railroad or Vendor will be considered. Cost(s) associated with Contractor convenience(s) for which other means and methods are available for performing the work will not be considered for reimbursement. CSXT agrees to make necessary changes in its railroad and railroad facilities to the extent required for the construction of the PROJECT and to construct and provide such additional facilities as may be needed in connection with the maintenance and protection of railroad traffic during such changes in its railroad and the construction of said PROJECT. CSXT further agrees to coordinate its said work with that of the Contractor of the STATE and to cooperate with said Contractor. Clean accessible bridge surfaces and seal bridge deck concrete using mobile & short-term work zone traffic control operations. . The RAILROAD agrees to make necessary changes in its railroad and railroad facilities to the extent required for the construction of the PROJECT, as outlined in the force account estimate attached hereto, and to construct and provide such additional facilities as may be needed in connection with the maintenance and protection of railroad traffic during such changes in its railroad and the construction of said PROJECT. The RAILROAD further agrees to coordinate its said work with that of the Contractor of the STATE and to cooperate with said Contractor.
